FRANKLIN TAYLOR JORDAN

Funeral services for Franklin Taylor Jordan, 70, of Buckatunna, will be 
at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 from Red Creek Church of God in 
Wayne County, with Rev. Steve Watts officiating. Visitation will be from 
10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 from Red Creek Church of God.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Zion Rest 
Cemetery in Buckatunna.
Born in Waynesboro on Friday, Nov. 5, 1954 to the late Vina Mae and 
Nelton Loran "N.L." Jordan, he attended Red Creek Church of God. He 
retied as a Dispatcher and Operator for Mar-Jac Poultry. He enjoyed 
being outdoors around his pond, feeding the fish and working in his 
garden.
He died on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Jeff Koen of 
Buckatunna; eight grandchildren and their respective spouses, Timothy 
Zepeda, Kaley and Kaleb Thornton, Jacob Thompson, Jade Jordan, Rayne 
Jordan, Logan Jordan, Zoey Jordan and Shiloh Jordan; and two 
great-grandchildren, Kassidy and Kennedi.
He was preceded i death by his parents, Vina Mae and Nelton Loran "N.L." 
Jordan; his son, Kevin Jordan; and three sisters, Nora Lee Carroll, 
Charlotte Dearmon and Francis Hollinghead.

BETTY BRITTON
July 13, 1937-Jan. 18, 2025
Funeral services for Betty Britton, 87, of Millry, Ala., will be at 2 
p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 from Chapel Hill Baptist Church in 
Millry, with Rev. Scott Giles and Rev. Chatham officiating. Visitation 
will be from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 from Chapel Hill 
Baptist Church in Millry.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Chapel Hill 
Cemetery in Millry.
Born in Selma, Ala., on Tuesday, July 13, 1937, she was the daughter of 
the late Stewart Gamble Fuzzell and Frances Elizabeth Fuzzell. She was a 
faithful and devoted member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She retired 
as a Teacher and Bus Driver for the Washington County (Ala.) Board of 
Education.
She died on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, James C. Britton, 
Jr., and Joe and Ann Britton, all of Millry; two daughters and a 
son-in-law, Connie and Billy Gant of Millry and Kathy Britton of Mobile, 
Ala.; her brother, Stewart "Buddy" Fuzzell, Jr., of Trussville, Ala.; 
four grandchildren and their respective spouses, Heather Gant, Hillary 
and Jason Cooley, Haley and Joseph Hill and JoAnna and Justin Rigney; 
eight great-grandchildren, Tristan Cooley, Ethan Cooley, Jaiden Cooley, 
Emery Hill, Aubree Hill, Lilly Hill, Molly Hill and Britton Rigney; and 
a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Conrad Britton, Sr..; 
and her parents, Francs Elizabeth and Stewart Gamble Fuzzell.

BARBARA DENISE WORSHAM HOWARD
May 24, 1969-Dec. 31, 2024
Funeral services for Barbara Denise Worsham Howard, 55, of Waynesboro, 
were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 from Sunlight Missionary 
Baptist Church, with Rev. Isaiah Taylor officiating.
Interment followed at Sunlight Church Cemetery.
Born on May 24, 1969, she was a Police Officer and a Dispatcher with the 
Waynesboro Police Department.
She died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
She is survived by her son, Fredrick Howard of Seattle, Wash.; a 
daughter and son-in-law, Marlynda Howard and Scott Marquis McSwain of 
Laurel; her mother, Margerie Worsham; two sisters and a brother-in-law, 
Evelyn Stone and Linda and Harry Laffitte; two brothers and 
sisters-in-law, Anthony and Wanda Worsham and Rayford and Jan Worsham of 
Waynesboro; and her special friends in Marriah Walker of Aberdeen, Mary 
Powe of Waynesboro, Loretta McSwain of Laurel and Sandra Moffett of 
Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fragier Worsham; her brother, 
Fragier Charles Worsham; and her grandparents, Griffin and Luella 
Worsham and Isaac and Nettie McCarty.
McDonald and Sons Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of
