One person killed in Wednesday morning wreck

One person was killed in a two-vehicle wreck early Wednesday morning.

According to emergency officials, two vehicles were involved in a wreck on eastbound Hwy. 84 near River Hill Road around 5 a.m. Wednesday. Multiple agencies responded and both eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of 84 were shut down while crews worked the scene.

The name of the deceased was not being released and the cause of the wreck is being investigated by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
