ELDREDGE "RAY" REVETTE, Sr.

Jan. 25, 1937-Nov. 29, 2023

A memorial service for Eldredge "Ray" Revette, Sr., 86, will be

conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 from Riverside Baptist

Church in Waynesboro, with visitation being from 10 a.m. until the time

of the service.

Born in Wayne County on Jan. 25, 1937, he died on Wednesday, Nov. 29,

2023, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 64 years, Betty Joyce

Revette of Waynesboro; his daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Victor

Chapman of Terry, Barbara Chapman and Susan Revette, all of Waynesboro;

his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Mindy Revette, Jr., of Waynesboro;

his brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond Revette and Clyde and Kitty

Revette of Buckatunna; his sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Willie Bonner of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Inez Revette; his

daughter, Sherry Revette; his grandsons, Michael Revette and Shannon

Chapman; and his brothers, Willie Revette and Harvey Revette.

WILLIAM "DARREN" WALLEY

Aug. 31, 1993-Nov. 29, 2023

A private Celebration of Life Service for William "Darren" Walley, 30,

of Richton, will be conducted by his family at a later date.

Born in Hattiesburg on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1993 to Tyson Walley and Lisa

Cunningham, he worked as a Tattoo Artist at Self Made Ink.

He died on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023.

He is survived by his mother and her spouse, Lisa and Eric Cunningham of

Saltillo; his father, Tyson Walley of Richton; two brothers, Kelby

Walley of Etta and T.J. Walley of Richton; his sister and

brother-in-law, Torrie and Martin Pitts of Guntown; his maternal

grandmother, Rebecca Landrum; his paternal grandmother, Sandra Gieger;

his paternal grandfather, Elvin Walley; two uncles and their respective

spouses, Dicky and Pam Landrum and Tim and Kasey Walley, all of Richton;

two nephews, Randy Joseph "Boo" Walley and Noah Flynn "Rockstar" Pitts;

a niece, Peyton Ariel Pitts; and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rufus Landrum; and

his paternal grandfather, Glen Matthews.

ELLA CLARICE HULSEY REGGIE

Feb. 2, 1933-Nov. 13, 2023

The family of Ella Clarice Hulsey Reggie, 90, will conduct a memorial

service for her at a later date.

Born on Feb. 2, 1933 to the late Kiser Tolar Hulsey and the late Vennie

Clarice Donald Husley, she grew up in Wayne County and graduated from

Central High School in 1952. After high school, she worked at local

businesses, including Brewer Furniture Company as a Bookkeeper and with

Wells Lamont Glove Factory. She later moved to Mobile, Ala., where she

worked at The Battle House Hotel as Personnel Manager.

She met George Reggie, who was in the Air Force, and they were married

in 1973 and made their home in Pinston, Pa.

She died on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Judy

Hulsey; and her stepson, Greg Reggie and his wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Reggie; her sisters,

Wilma Taylor and Mamie Lois Kirkland; and her brothers, Herbert Tolard,

Howard Thomas and Hershel Ray, all of Wayne County.

Nov. 26, 2023

Graveside services for Pat Trest, 85, of Corinth, were conducted on

Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 from the V.A. Memorial Cemetery in Newton.

He died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023.

Magnolia Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

CHARLES CLEON BLACKLEDGE

Oct. 30, 1930-Nov. 26, 2023

Funeral services for Charles Cleon Blackledge, 93, of Gulfport, were

conducted on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 from O'Keefe Funeral Home in

Gulfport.

Internment followed at Biloxi National Cemetery.

Born on Oct. 30, 1930 in Jones County, after graduation from high school

he served four years of active duty in the U.S. Navy before becoming a

Licensed Electrician. He was an active Mason and was always a dedicated

husband, father and grandfather.

He died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023 at his residence in Gulfport.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Blacklege

McKnight and Patricia Blackledge and Stanley Gaines; his sister-in-law,

Margaret Blackledge; his grandson and his spouse, Charles and Diane

Miller of Palacios, Texas; his granddaughter and her spouse, Amy Miller

and Clay Moore; three great-grandchildren and two

great-great-grandchildren of Vancleave; and numerous nieces and nephews,

including Jeff Harbour and his spouse, Janet, who was his frequent

companion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Blackledge and Annie

Mae Blackledge Quinnelly; his wife of more than 70 years, Betty

Blackledge; two daughters, Dianne Miller and Marsha Sellier; two

brothers, James Vestal Blackledge and Thomas Rayford Blackledge; and two

sisters, Norma Blackledge Harbour and Anita Blackledge Cleckler.

Funeral services for Leslie Roy Bivins, 70, of State Line, were

conducted on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 from Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, with

Bishop John Sullivan, Sr. officiating.

Interment followed at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on July 18, 1953, he died on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Mia Gladys Bivins; his son and

daughter-in-law, John and Rachel Johnson; his daughter and son-in-law,

Tracy and Ramon Leverett; his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and

James Leggins; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and

two children.
