Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Waynesboro, Mississippi will receive sealed bids until 10:00 o’clock a.m. Tuesday January 4, 2022 from all banks of Wayne County for the privilege of keeping on deposit all funds or any part thereof of said city for the calendar years 2022 and 2023.  105% security must be pledged to secure theses funds as required by law (Sec 27-105-315 Miss Code of 1972).

All bids must be marked “Bid for City Bank Depository” on outside of envelope.

The Board reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.  The Board further reserves the right to select one or more banks.  Bids must be received in order to be considered.

WAYNE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WAYNESBORO, MISSISSIPPI

 

     Separate sealed bids will be received by the Wayne County Board of Supervisors in the boardroom at the Wayne County Courthouse, Waynesboro, Mississippi, until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, for the construction of a County Road Re-Seal Project of approximately 33.80 Miles of County Roads in District Four named “A” thru “N”, also known as Engineer's Project No. WCBS-104-21.  Bids will be opened in public and read aloud. 

 

     The Plans, Specifications, and Contract documents are on file and can be viewed and obtained online via the website of the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at www.clarkengineersprojects.com.  By use of the website the plan holders shall have the option of obtaining hard copy of the Plans and Specifications and/or shall have the opportunity to submit an official bid online. 

 

     All hard copy proposals shall be directed to the attention of The Wayne County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “WCBS-104-21 Bid Proposal Re-Seal Project”.  Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope.  Online bids shall be accepted and opened as instructed on the website.

       

    Basis of Award:  The award, if made, will be to the lowest and best qualified bidder.  The Board intends to accept the lowest and best bid and reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

 

     Total Contract Time as Advertised: 80 Working Days

 

     The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

 

     Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Wayne County must accompany each proposal.

 

     Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award.
