FRANCES OUIDA BURTON

Graveside services for Frances Ouida Burton, 85, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from Serenity Gardens Cemetery in

Waynesboro, with Dr. DeJuan Walley officiating.

Born in Jones County on Saturday, April 20, 1938 to Lee Frank Manning

and Oree C. Manning, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was

a Homemaker.

She died on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at her residence.

She is survived by her son, Mark Burton of Waynesboro; four daughters

and three sons-in-law, Renita and Jimmy Odom of Waynesboro, Pam Burton

of Waynesboro, Paula and Ronnie Kelley of State Line and Ugenia and Mark

Pitts of Shubuta; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several

nieces and nephews and her caregivers, Molly Burton and Kim Burton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Burton; her father, Lee

Frank Manning; her mother, Oree C. Manning; her son, Daniel Burton; her

daughter, Rebecca Carr; and two brothers, Leland Manning and Johnny

Manning.

Funeral services for Agnes R. Shirley, 95, of Waynesboro, were conducted

on Friday, June 2, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in

Waynesboro, with Rev. Michael Stevenson and Brother Scott Walters

officiating.

Interment followed at Chason Cemetery in Wayne County.

Born in State Line on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1927 to the late Arthur Dewey

Revette, Sr., and Willie L. Revette, she was retired as a Store Clerk.

She died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at South Central Regional Medical

Center in Laurel.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Phillip

Windham of Waynesboro; her sister-in-law, Katherine Revette; her nephew

and his spouse, Kenneth and Sherry Revette of State Line; two nieces and

their respective spouses, Ann and Junior Byrd of State Line and Sharay

Windham of Ocean Springs; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and

great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Hack Shirley; her parents,

Arthur Dewey Revette, Sr., and Willie L. Revette; her brother, Arthur

Dewey Revette, Jr.; a sister, Geneva Gardner; and a nephews, Dewey

Revette.

RAYMOND E. WARD

May 9, 1933-May 30, 2023

Funeral services for Raymond E. Ward, 90, of Waynesboro, were conducted

on Friday, June 2, 2023 from Liberty Baptist church, with Rev. Phillip

Gandy officiating.

Interment followed at Liberty Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Born on Tuesday, May 9, 1933 in Russellville, Ala., to Lula Ward, he was

a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He retired as Owner and Operator of

his Auto Body Shop.

He died on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jean Ward of Waynesboro;

two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Ward and Lee Ward, all

of Waynesboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Jack West of

Freeport, Texas; nine grandchildren and their respective spouses, Adam

Ward, Brian Ward, Tonya and Jay Cross, Brianna Ward, Jenni and Micheal

Giuliano, Alyssa Davis, P.J. Hall, Michael Noble and Mellissa Hall; 10

great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lula Parker; and two

sons, Michael Ward and Ray Ward.

BOBBY "BOBCAT" ODOM

Sept. 12, 1958-May 30, 2023

Graveside services for Bobby "Bobcat" Odom, 64, of Chicora, were

conducted on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from Serenity Gardens Cemetery in

Waynesboro, with Rev. Mark Ferguson and Rev. Tom Dees officiating.

Born in State Line on Friday, Sept. 12, 1958 to Edward and Gertrude

Odom, he retired as a Drilling Superintendent/Consultant in the Oil and

Gas Production industry. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time

hunting, fishing and with his family.

He died on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in

Hattiesburg.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Regina Odom of Chicora;

his mother, Gertrude Odom of Leakesville; his son and daughter-in-law,

Phillip Glenn and Sabrina Odom of Chicora; his daughter and son-in-law,

Jennifer Rena and Andy Letchworth of State Line; two brothers and

sisters-in-law, James and Shelia Odom of Fruitdale, Ala., and Eddie Carl

and Karen Odom of Piave; three grandchildren, Cole Andrew Letchworth,

Chloe Sierra Letchworth and Parker Glenn Odom; and a host of nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Odom; and his daughter,

Stormy Nicole Odom.

JOHN "JOHNNY" MASHBURN

June 17, 1971-May 21, 2023

Graveside services for John "Johnny" Mashburn, 51, of Chicora, were

conducted on Wednesday, May 23, 2023 from Chicora-Davis Cemetery, with

Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating.

Born in Waynesboro on Thursday, June 17, 1971 to Billy Mashburn and Ann

Corley, he was a member of Chicora First Baptist Church. He worked as a

Welder for Ala-Miss, Inc.

He died on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at University of Alabama-Birmingham

Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Jerri Mashburn of

Chicora; his father, Billy Mashburn of Chicora; his mother, Ann Corley

of Waynesboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brittany and Justin

Lewis of Chicora, Constance and Daniel Dees of Millry, Ala., and Shelby

and Hunter Sullivan of Buckatunna; his brother, Bob Mashburn of

Buckatunna; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Shaun Waite of

Millry; and seven grandchildren, Heidi, A.J., Layton, Brance, Ledger

"Tadpole," Lucie and Blakley.
