Born on Oct. 6, 1923, she was a Retired School Teacher with the Wayne 
County School District.
She died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at her residence.

Stephenson and Willie Edward and Elaine Stephenson; three grandchildren, 
eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for James Alexander "Xander" Mason, 22, of 
Buckatunna, were conducted on Monday, April 13, 2026 from the chapel of 
Freeman Funeral Home, with Coach Curtis Kirkland, Rev. Jesse Griffin and 
Rev. Tim Martin officiating.
Interment followed at Chicora-Davis Cemetery in Chicora.
Born in Mobile, Ala., on Saturday, July 5, 2003 to Gregory K. and Misty 
D. Mason, he worked as a Floor Hand for Transocean Deepwater Drilling 
Company on the Deepwater Atlas.
Xander was an old soul who loved being outdoors, listening to older 
music and spending time with family and friends. He spent most of his 
time hunting, fishing and rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs just to make 
Mama upset.
He died on Thursday, April 9, 2026 in Buckatunna.
He is survived by his parents, Gregory K. and Misty D. Mason of 
Brookshire, Texas; his grandparents, Debbie "Granny" Dearmon of 
Millry, Ala., and Charles "Pawpaw" and Janice "Granny Rabbit" 
Mason of Chicora; three aunts and uncles, Angela and Bud Giles of 
Denham, Christy and LaDale Sellers of Chicora and Gayla and David 
Patrick of Millry; nine cousins, Shanna Hayes, Kayla Giles, Nathan 
Giles, Kyle Sellers, Jefferson Sellers, Sarah Sellers, Ashton Crager, 
Alex Patrick and John Daniel Patrick; and a host of other family and 
friends.
He was preceded in death by his "Pawpaw," James Donald Dearmon.
Pallbearers were Kyle Sellers, Jefferson Sellers, Nathan Giles, Marco 
Jordan, Macey Torrey and Derrick Kellem.

retired as an Office Manager at McMurry Pest Cotnrol.
She died on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Asbury Hospice House in 
Hattiesburg.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Terry Wayne Waldron 
of Shubuta; her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia W. Manning and Jason 
Kingsmill of Shubuta; her son and daughter-in-law, William T. and Leslie 
Saul Waldron of Clara; her brother, John Brett Eidson of Soso; three 
sisters, Debra Ledbetter of Petal, Lynn Jones of Laurel and Dorothy 
Aycock of Laurel; two grandchildren and their respective spouses, Audrey 
and Tommy Morris and Brett Manning, all of Shubuta; two 
great-grandchildren, Joseph Lapadat and John Lapadat; and a host of 
nieces and nephews.
