Funeral services for Gladys Jewel McCarty, 92, of Waynesboro, will be at 
11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 from Little Rock Assembly of God 
Church in Waynesboro, with Rev. Ryan Powers, Rev. Steven Ray Perry and 
Rev. Douglas R. Chapman officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Rock Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born in Millry, Ala., on Tuesday, June 20, 1933 to the late William and 
Alice Daughtery, she was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church. 
She worked as a Seamstress at Wells Lamont.
She died on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 at South Central Regional Medical 
Center in Laurel.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Travis McCarty of 
Waynesboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rita and DeWayne Lofton and 
Renee McCarty, all of Waynesboro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, 
Kathleen and James McInnis and Sarah and Bob Dobby, all of Waynesboro; 
two grandchildren and their respective spouses, Randall and Kaitlyn 
Lofton and Katrina and Justin Busby; nine great-grandchildren, Lylan, 
Jayke, Kolston "Mac," Beckett, Stella, Daughtry, Tevin, Dayten and 
Karra Rae; and her brother-in-law, Clifford McCarty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Daughtery; 
and four sisters, Viola Waites, Elsie Hollingshead, Leona White and 
Betty Hudson.

Funeral services for Billie Sue Shaw, 74, of Waynesboro, were conducted 
on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with 
Rev. Fred Toomey officiating.
Interment followed at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
She was born on Thursday, Oct. 11, 1951 to the late Noel and Mary 
Atkinson.
She died on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul B. and Audrey Shaw 
of Shubuta; her daughter, Aleithea D. Gordon of Waynesboro; five 
grandchildren and their respective spouses, Logan Welford, Loren Summer 
and Zack Thomas, Allison and Nate Schumann, Heather Shaw and Dawson 
Smith; two great-grandchildren, Karson and Addison Mozingo; her 
brother-in-law, Daniel Jones; two nephews and their spouses, Tim and 
Jennifer Jones and John and Naomi Atkinson; and her niece, Anna Kaiser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Mack Shaw; her parents, 
Noel and Mary Atkinson; two brothers, Otis Atkinson and Jimbo Atkinson; 
and two sisters, Wanda Jones and Baby Atkinson.

Funeral services for Keith Stanley, 70, of Waynesboro, were conducted on 
Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 from Waynesboro First Methodist church, with Rev. 
Chuck Frankenfeld officiating.
Interment followed at Wayne Haven United Methodist Cemetery in Wayne 
County.
Born on Thursday, Sept. 8, 1955 to the late Thomas Kenneth Stanley and 
Nellie Ruth Stanley, he was a member of Waynesboro First Methodist of 
Waynesboro, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. 
He will also be remembered as the "Voice of the Wayne Academy 
Jaguars."
He worked as a Territory Manager for Lard Oil Company.
He died on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his 
loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Tanya Rogers Stanley of 
Waynesboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Beth Stanley and Robert 
Jones of Shubuta, Mary Katherine Stanley of Waynesboro and Alana Faith 
and Christian Gutierrez of Madison; two grandchildren, Mallory Paige 
Golden and Liam Cosai Seals; his brother, Kevan Stanley of Waynesboro; 
his sister, Karen Williams of Hattiesburg; and a host of nieces and 
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Kenneth Stanley and 
Nellie Ruth Stanley; his brother, Kenneth Alan "Shorty" Stanley; and 
his brother-in-law, Gerald "Curly" Williams.

TERESA LYNN (LEE) CRAGER
July 28, 1962-Oct. 28, 2025
Funeral services for Teresa Lynn (Lee) Crager, 63, of State Line, were 
conducted on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral 
Home, with Rev. Michael Stevenson officiating.
Interment followed at Dailey Cemetery in Chicora.
Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, July 28, 1962 to the late Bruce Grey Lee 
and Melonee Eell Lee, she was a member of State Line First Baptist 
Church.
She retired from the Wayne County School District as a Cafeteria Worker, 
serving for more than 31 years at Buckatunna School. She will be 
remembered by her family as a loving mother and a hard worker.
She died on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 at her residence.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Grey and Barbara 
Crager of State Line; her daughter, Susan Langley of State Line; her 
brother and sister-in-law, Nigel and Kathy Lee of Chatom, Ala.; four 
sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Ray Walley of Sand Hill, 
Debbie Jordan of Fisher, La., Rosetta Jones and Janie Long, both of 
State Line; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Grey Lee and Melonee 
Ezell Lee; and her companion, Henry Gray Dailey.

PALMER GRAHAM

Funeral services for Palmer Graham, 78, of Waynesboro, were conducted on 
Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. 
Roger Douglas officiating.
Interment followed at Community Southern Methodist Cemetery in 
Waynesboro.
Born in Mobile, Ala., on Sunday, Nov. 3, 1946 to the late Dora McRae 
Graham and Lincoln Palmer Graham, Sr., he was a member of Community 
Southern Methodist Church.
He retired as a Mechanic with the Wayne County School District. He loved 
the outdoors and woodworking, and he cherished his wife, daughter and 
granddaughters.
He died on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at Regency Hospital in Meridian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Aline Graham of 
Waynesboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Ann and Tim Maten of 
Gilbertown, Ala.; and two granddaughters, Katelyn and Kristyn Maten, 
both of Gilbertown.

STEPHEN "STEVE" TRIGG

A memorial graveside service for Stephen "Steve" Trigg, 60, of 
Waynesboro, was conducted on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 from White House 
Cemetery in Waynesboro, with Rev. Marvin Griffin officiating.
Born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 11, 1965 to Terrell and Gayle Trigg, 
he worked as Owner and Operator of Steve's Paint & Body Shop. He 
enjoyed coaching baseball and had a love for every child that he 
encountered. "He was a Winner."
He died on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in 
Hattiesburg, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his parents, Terrell and Gayle Trigg of Waynesboro; 
his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Hannah Trigg of Waynesboro; two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Terra and Jacob Fontenot and Shayna and 
Channing Cooley, all of Waynesboro; two brothers and a sister-in-law, 
Jeffrey Trigg of Battle Creek, Mich., and Timothy and Angela Trigg of 
Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Talon Cooley, Maylen Cooley, Kilynn 
Fontenot, Makenzi Fontenot, Maddox Cooley and Silas Trigg; his former 
wife of 32 years and mother of his children, Debbie Trigg of Waynesboro; 
his niece, Ava Trigg; and a host of friends and family.
