Funeral services for William Waynon Harris, 89, of Buckatunna, will be
at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral
Home, with Rev. Michael Beckwith and Chaz Crane officiating. Visitation
will be from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 from the Parlor of
Freeman Funeral.

Born in Buckatunna on Sunday, July 5, 1936 to the late William A. Harris
and Donnie Harris, he was a member of Chicora Baptist Church. He served
in the United States Army National Guard and retired as a Maintenance
Supervisor with Wells Lamont.

He died on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025 at Wayne General Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Evon Harris of Buckatunna; his
son and daughter-in-law, Ricky Wayne and Michele Harris of Buckatunna;
two grandsons and their respective spouses, Jeremy Cole and Kady Harris
and Jaord Kyle and Jaimie Harris; three great-grandchildren and their
respective spouses, Jeremy Cole and Kady Harris, Emma Grace Harris and
Karson Harris; and a stepgrandson and his spouse, Jared and Balli Loper.
