Funeral services for Luther Beard, Jr., 92, of Waynesboro, will be at 11
a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 from Trinity First Baptist Church in
Waynesboro, with Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Visitation will be from
10-11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025 at Trinity First Baptist Church.

Born in Waynesboro on Thursday, Aug. 25, 1932 to the late Luther Beard,
Sr., and Helen Beard, he was a member of Trinity First Baptist Church.
He retired as an Insurance Agent for Liberty National Life insurance
Company.

He died on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Lois Beard of Clara; his daughter and
son-in-law, Karen and Allen Broadhead of Demopolis, Ala.; his son,
LaDale Beard of Braxton; his sister, Inez Martin of Waynesboro; and
three grandchildren and their respective spouses, Brandie and Austin
Davis, Alicia and Robert Brown and Justin Beard.
