Dec. 14, 1960-July 27, 2025
Funeral services for Rodney Ward, 64, of Waynesboro, will be at 2 p.m. 
on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with 
Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on 
Thursday, July 31, 2025 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Liberty 
Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1960 to Raymond E. and 
Jean Ward, he worked in Auto Paint and Body Repair at Ward's Body Shop.
He died on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jean Ward of Waynesboro; two 
daughters and a son-in-law, Tonya and Jay Cross of Waynesboro and 
Brianna Ward of San Antonio, Texas; his wife, Kimberly Joyner of San 
Antonio; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Melissa Ward of 
Waynesboro; his sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Jack West of 
Freeport, Texas; and four grandchildren, Mary Cross, Aleighna Cross, 
Elizabeth Cross and Noah Cross.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Ward; and his 
brother, Raymond Gene Ward.

A memorial service for Randi Myers, 55, of Waynesboro, will be at 12 
p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, 
with Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 
p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Graceland 
Cemetery in Racine, Wisc.
Born in Racine on Saturday, Dec. 13, 1969 to Ronald Turner and Janice 
Pfingsten, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro. She 
worked as Regional Omni Channel Supervisor at MSC Industrial Supply.
She died on Friday, July 25, 2025 at her residence.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Mark Myers; her 
daughter, Delaney Rae Czernisz; her stepson, Jackson Ross Myers; and 
three sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Daniel Schultz, Cindy and 
Raul Falcon and Lori and Douglas Torres.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shelley Thorsen.

ALBERT R. SHIRAH, SR.
July 5, 1942-July 22, 2025
Funeral services for Albert R. Shirah, Sr., 83, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral 
Home, with Dr. Steve Smith officiating.
Interment followed at Corinth Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Wayne 
County.
Born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 5, 1942 to Alfred Shirah and Geneva 
Langhauser, he was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the 
Vietnam War. He retired as a Mechanic with Rainbow Oldsmobile.
He died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Pine View Health and Rehablitation 
in Waynesboro.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bonnie Jean Shirah of 
Waynesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Albert R. and KyLeigh Shirah, 
Jr., of Waynesboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Jay 
Camardelle of Gretna, La.; three siblings, Alton Shirah, Anthony Shirah 
and Tamsey Cochran, all of Louisiana; nine grandchildren and their 
respective spouses, Jenifer and Mik Donham, Shelly and Zach Grubb, 
Joshua and Niki Rivet, Destiny and Dallas Wylie, Albert and Mackenzie 
Shirah III, Meorie and Drake Johnson, Parker and Joshua Knotts, Heidi 
Odom and Alex Odom; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and 
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Shirah; his mother, 
Geneva Langhauser; his stepmother, Allean Shirah; his stepfather, Hank 
Langhuaser; and two brothers, Timothy Shirah and Infant Brother Shirah.

July 21, 2025
A private memorial service for William N. "Butch" Mashburn, 72, of 
Waynesboro, will be conducted by his family, with interment at White 
House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
He died on Monday, July 21, 2025 under hospice care at Merit Health 
Wesley, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Mashburn; his stepson and his wife, 
Carlos and Jessica McCaa; his daughter and son-in-law, Jade and D.J. 
Welford; his grandchildren, Hannah McCaa and Jake McCaa; and his 
brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Kim Mashburn and Larry and Pat 
Cooley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Mashburn; his mother, 
Marian Mashburn; and his sister, Carolyn Baygents.

Graveside services for James Eric Davis, 48, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from Arrington Cemetery in 
Waynesboro, with Dr. Stephen Smith officiating.
Born in Waynesboro on Thursday, Oct. 21, 1976 to James Mitchell Davis 
and Annie Heap, he was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church. He 
worked as a Traveling Salesman in the oil field industry.
He died on Friday, July 25, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by his mother and her spouse, Annie and Donald Heap; four 
children and their respective spouses, Mason and Jayleigh King Davis, 
Haley and Tanner Walters, Sawyer Davis and Stele Davis; his finance, 
Jessica Page; his brother and sister-in-law, Colby and Beth Pitts; and 
his sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Matthew Tubbs.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Mitchell Davis.
