A memorial service for Martha Kay Thornton, 71, of Waynesboro, will be

Born in Laurel in 1953 to Johnny Pat Thornton and Mary Lynn Young
Thornton, she spent most of her life in Waynesboro. She also lived in
Alabama and Georgia, where she developed a passionate love for the
Georgia Bulldogs.

She died peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Roll and
Bradley Finley of Liberty, S.C.; her son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas
and Amanda Roll of Laurel; and her brother, Donnie Pat and Karen
Thornton of Waynesboro. She dearly loved being an aunt to her nephews,
Joshua Thornton and Shane Thornton, and her niece, Sommer Thornton
Dyess.

and Amanda Roll of Laurel; and her brother, Donnie Pat and Karen

Farrior, Sr., and Connie Farrior, he was a member of Riverside Baptist
Church. He retired from the oil field industry as an Account Manager.

Born on Aug. 2, 1948 with his identical twin brother, Ronald, in
Waynesboro, he was a Carpenter by trade and a self-professed philosopher
by night. Alongside his brother, Donald designed and built homes,
churches and business from his own home all the to Ontario, Canada.
Often called "Rifleman," he loved working with his hands, hunting,
fishing, watching sports and telling jokes.

Pellegrin; his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Darlene Porter of
Waynesboro; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Eddie Gibson of
Collins; his nephews and their spouses, James and Wendy Gibson of
Collins and Michael and LeAnn Gibson and family of Starkville; and a
host of treasured relatives on both sides of a substantial family tree.
