Sandy's auburn hair reflected the vibrant spirit within her and she
often humorously joked she would never go gray. She had a flair for fun
and loved to dress up for the Kentucky Derby or Mardi Gras, never
without her bedazzled fascinator and sequin gown.

A registered nurse until her retirement, she carried for countless
patients throughout her career — and countless more as neighbors and
friends. If medicine couldn't mend it, her cooking surely could. Her
legendary bacon potato chowder earned her two blue ribbons and captured
hearts every time it was served.

She had a remarkable talent for hosting, ensuring that every detail was
tailored to the occasion and making each social gathering unforgettable.

devoted member of St. Michael & All Angels' Episcopal Church, she was
known for her warm smile, inviting nature and tireless involvement. She
truly never met a stranger and gave the gift of friendship freely.
