WHEREAS, on August 2, 2021, James B. Vice a/k/a James Brent Vice a/k/a

Deed of Trust to John R. Gunn, Trustee for the benefit of First State

In accordance with Section 29-3-41 of the MS Code, all bids will be 
opened at the regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Wayne 
County School District at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, May 22, 2025. The Wayne 
County Board of Education requires a minimum bid of $6.25 per acre with 
the lease contract ending June 30, 2028. All bidders must enclose a bid 
deposit (cashier's check, money order, or personal check) in the 
amount of the annual rent with the bid when submitted. It is understood 
the checks and/or money orders will be returned to the bidders whose 
bids are not accepted.
The Lessee is required to pay the annual taxes on the property to the 
Wayne County Tax Collector. The Lessee is also required to pay a 
one-time filing fee to the Wayne County Chancery Clerk upon execution of 
lease.
The Wayne County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and 
all bids, but if any bid is accepted, the Board will award said lease to 
the highest and best bidder.
