Graveside services for John Paul Rigney, 87, of Waynesboro, will be at 
11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in 
Buckatunna, with Rev. Larry Reynolds officiating.
Born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, July 6, 1937 to the late Ides V. and 
Luther R. Rigney, he was a member of Buckatunna Free Will Baptist 
Church. He retired after 32 years as a Mail Carrier for the United 
States Postal Service.
He was a key member in founding and operating the Buckatunna Water Works 
Association. He will always be remembered for loving his girls, 
sons-in-law and grandchildren.
He died on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025 at his residence.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Tommy Kelley 
and Tamara and Larry Roach, all of Waynesboro; two brothers and a 
sister-in-law, C.J. Rigney of Waynesboro and L.V. and Darlene Rigney of 
Blytheville, Ark.; his sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Fred 
Hollinghead of Chicora; two granddaughters and their respective spouses, 
Jona and Corey Stevens of Waynesboro and Megan and Corey Hancock of 
Starkville; his grandson and his spouse, Toby and Kalin Roach of 
Fairhope, Ala.; and three great-grandchildren, Reese, Brantley and 
Millie Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Burgess Rigney; his parents, 
Ides V. and Luther R. Rigney; his daughter, Shirlene Rigney; two 
brothers, Ungay Rigney and David Rigney; and three sisters, Voncile 
Odom, Rebecca Giles and Lena Pearl Anderson.

Funeral services for Aubrey Tucker McDill, 40, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 from West Shady Grove Baptist 
Church, with Brother Shawn Hales and Brother Greg Reiher officiating.
Interment followed at West Shady Grove Cemetery.
Born in Martinez, Calif., on Jan. 30, 1985, he was employed as an 
Oilfield Mechanic with Total Pump and Supply in Laurel.
He was a devoted husband and father. He loved and cared deeply for his 
family and friends. In his leisure time, he loved fishing, grilling and 
spending time with the people he loved most.
He was an avid Alabama football fan, as well as a New Orleans Saints 
fan; however, he was an even bigger fan of the Beat Four Youth Football 
Teams that he had the honor of coaching for several years. He loved the 
kids and was respected and loved by them in return.
He was a loyal friend to so many, and he had a personality that could 
light up any room, as well as a sense of humor like no other, and his 
laughter will be greatly missed.
He died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025 peacefully at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Amy McDill of Waynesboro; 
three sons, Colston Jase McDill, Conner Lee Wilson and Matthew Robert 
Wilson, all of Waynesboro; his mother and her spouse, Mary Fuller and 
Levan Davis of Waynesboro; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, 
Brandon and Alisha McDill of Waynesboro, Jamaal Davis of Waynesboro and 
Rafael and Sha Davis of State Line; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Wayne McDill; his 
sister, Lura Gail Arnold; his maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Ruby 
Fuller; and his paternal grandparents, J.T. and Bobby Joyce Street.
Pallbearers were Jonathan West, Jesse Carr, Adam Clements, Ray Smith, 
Joey Holifield and Bryan Hutcherson. Honorary pallbearers were his 
friends and crew from Total Pump and Supply.

Vietnam War, and was a Foreman with Kimberly Clark. He was a Director on 
the Buckatunna Water Board and a Sunday School Superintendent and 
Trustee at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church.
He died on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 at St. Dominic's Hospital in 
Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Armender Banks Taylor; his sons and 
daughter-in-law, Edward Taylor and Thad and Jacqueline Taylor; his 
daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Rufus Wright, Stephanie and Fred 
Daniels and Tawanna and Spencer Davis; his brother and sister-in-law, Ed 
W. and Mafalda Taylor; and his sister, Willie E. Taylor.
