on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 from Winchester Church of God in Christ, with

Wayne County School District. She was also a member of the 84 Committee.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Pam Shanks
and Maurice and Lakita Shanks; two daughters, Crystal Shanks and
Lashonda Shanks; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe W. and Eloise
Shanks and Gary and Amanda Shanks; her sister, Eileon White; 12
grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

sister, Linda Ransom-Wright of Miami; and nine grandchildren.
