GAUTIER — A two-point conversion with under three minutes to play ended up being the difference as No. 1 seed Gautier held on to take a 28-27 win over the War Eagles of WCHS Friday night in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

The War Eagles finished the season at 5-8 but won three of their final four games to set up a promising future for WCHS.
