IRIS MARIE BRADLEY

Graveside services for Iris Marie Bradley, 82, of Buckatunna, will be at 
2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 from Buckatunna Cemetery in Buckatunna, 
with Dr. Terry Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. 
on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 from Buckatunna First Baptist Church.
Born on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1942 to the late Johnny M. Powe and Helen 
Marie Powe, she was a member of Buckatunna First Baptist Church. She 
retired as Owner and Operator of Iris's Tax Service.
She died on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024 at Southern Living Specialty Care 
Residency in Waynesboro.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Clayton and 
Laura Bradley of Rosharon, Texas, and Jeremy Scott and Jada Bradley of 
Buckatunna; her brother, Rodger Dale Powe of Dayton, Texas; her sister 
and brother-in-law, Kerry and Phillip McLaughlin of Buckatunna; four 
grandchildren and their respective spouses, Madison Bradley and Garrett 
Drummond, Cameron Scott and Sarah Bradley, Cade Barrett Bradley and 
Daniel Lachlan Bradley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preced in death by her husband, Oscar L. Bradley, Jr.; her 
parents, Johnny M. and Helen Marie Powe; her son, Richard Bradley; and 
her brother, Jackie Powe.

BESSIE C. KELLEY
Oct. 15, 1936-Nov. 2, 2024
Funeral services for Bessie C. Kelley, 88, of Waynesboro, were conducted 
on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 from First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, with 
Dr. Steve Smith and Dr. Terry Williams officiating.
Interment followed at Kelley-Mozingo Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Born in Forest on Thursday, Oct. 15, 1936 to the late William and Pearl 
Culpepper, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro. She 
was an Operator of Kelley Brothers Contractors, Inc., along with her 
three sons and was the Financial Administrator for many years.
She will also be known for her unwavering faith and loving heart. She 
devoted her life to serving others. As a Sunday School Teacher and 
faithful church member, she nurtured the faith of all who knew her. Her 
infectious smile and servant's heart will be missed by her family and 
friends.
She died on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Karen 
Kelley of Waynesboro, Jerry and Laura Kelley of Buckatunna and Terry and 
Susie Kelley of Waynesboro; four grandchildren and their respective 
spouses, Kati and Coby Crager, Marc and Tish Kelley, Megan and Corey 
Hancock and Carson Kelley; five great-grandchildren, Pacee Lane Kelley, 
Caroline Kelley Crager, Fisher James Kelley, Lucy Anne Crager and Millie 
Thomas Hancock; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.O. Kelley, Sr.; her parents, 
William and Pearl Culpepper; two brothers, Willie Lee Culpepper and 
Calvin Culpepper; and two sisters, Ellen Truhett Miles and Pearl Pannon.
DONALD THOMAS COOLEY
Aug. 2, 1960-Oct. 28, 2024
Graveside services for Donald Thomas Cooley, 64, of Waynesboro, were 
conducted on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 from West Cemetery in Clara.
Born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1960 to the late Thomas Ledger 
Cooley and Bonnie Mae (Kirkland) Cooley, he worked as Co-Owner and 
Operator of River Road Construction.
He died on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024 in Dozier, Ala.
He is survived by his son, Brantley Jones of Laurel; his daughter and 
son-in-law, Courtney and Alex Parnell of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three 
brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis and Mary Cooley of Quitman, Terry 
Cooley and Lamar Cooley, both of Houma, La.; his sister and 
brother-in-law, Connie and Clayton Butler of Sumrall; two grandchildren, 
Titus Jones and Vincent Jones; and his beloved pet, Mimi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Cooley; his parents, 
Thomas and Bonnie Cooley; and his brother, James David Cooley.
