Funeral services for Rosie L. Abram, 100, will be conducted at 1 p.m. on 
Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 from Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in State 
Line, with Rev. Cedric Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6 
p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home 
and again from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 from Mt. Olive M.B. 
Church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Simpson 
Cemetery.
Born on Feb. 8, 1924, she was a Homemaker.
She died on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024 at her residence.
She is survived by her sons, Frank E. Abram and Lester Abram; her 
daughters, Joyce Gleasons, Juanetta Franks and Vera C. Grant; a number 
of grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and 
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and nine siblings.

Funeral services for Mary Tillis, 76, of Hattiesburg, will be conducted 
at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 from Bethlehem Missionary Baptist 
Church in Shubuta, with Rev. Greg Miller officiating. Visitation will be 
from 12-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 from the Chapel of Turner 
Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at the church 
cemetery.

She died on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 at her residence.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lakesia and Glenn

Funeral services for Betty Jean Hodge, 77, of Columbia and formerly of 
Waynesboro, will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 
from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, with Pastor Wendy Cassidy 
officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 
from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Waynesboro 
Cemetery.
Born on April 26, 1947, she was a Homemaker.
She died on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at Columbia Health and Rehabilitation 
Center in Columbia.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Ellar 
Hodge and Jeffery and Catherine Hodge; and her sister and brother-in-law 
Delois and Roger "Winky" Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

A memorial service for Dwight Newman Richardson, 72, of Shubuta, will be 
conducted at a later date.
Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Shubuta.
Born in Athens, Ala., on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1952 to the late William 
Newman Richardson and Betty Madline Richardson, he served in the United 
States National Guard. He retired as a Truck Driver for Dunn 
Roadbuilders.
He died on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at his residence.
He is survived by his son, Brian Keith Richardson; his companion, 
Patricia A. Richardson; three grandchildren, Katilyn Faith Richardson, 
Brian Thomas Richardson and Barbara Ann Richardson; two 
great-grandchildren, Olivia Dykes and Alexander Rhodes; two brothers, 
Barry Richardson and James Richardson; two sisters, Ida Nell Griffin and 
Terry Richardson; his mother-in-law, Myrtice C. Parnell; and a host of 
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Newman and Betty 
Madline Richardson; his daughter-in-law, Angela Kay Richardson; and 
three brothers, William Richardson, David Richardson and Charles 
Richardson.

REV. WILLIAM FRASIER
Aug. 13, 1930-Sept. 6, 2024
Funeral services for Rev. William Frasier, 94, were conducted on Monday, 
Sept. 9, 2024 from Shiloh Methodist Protestant Church in Sallis, with 
Rev. Kevin McMillon officiating.
Interment followed at Shiloh Methodist Protestant Cemetery.
Born on Aug. 13, 1930 in Leake County to Will and Lora Roby Frasier, he 
was a devoted pastor who served various Assembly of God churches around 
Mississippi for 69 years with his dedicated wife by his side. For many 
years, he also owned Frasier Pest Control, which served Winston County 
and the surrounding area.
He was known for his "green thumb" abilities. He loved gardening and 
sharing what he grew with the community. He also enjoyed working in his 
flowers.
He died on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at BeeHive Homes in Louisville.
He is survived by his children and their respective spouses, Gail and 
Ray Uhrich of Jacksonville, Ark. Kay Ming of Louisville and Jan and 
Robert Lowery of Louisville; his daughter-in-law, Joyce Frasier of 
Waynesboro; one of his greatest joys of being "PaPaw Bud" to his 
grandchildren and their respective spouses, Heather and Amber Barnette, 
Jarrod and Crystal Frasier, Kyle and Lacie Frasier, Alison and Matt 
Woods, Jonathan and Jennifer Lowery and Caden Lowery; his bonus 
grandchildren and their respective spouses, Angie Springer, Charles and 
Cristina Ming, Linda Ming and Kim and George Haydu; his beloved 
great-grandchildren and their respective spouses, Dylan and Madisin 
Barnette, Lakeyn Barnette, Drake Frasier, Grant Frasier, Landon Frasier, 
Londyn Frasier, Mason Woods, Mary Morgan Woods, Maggie Mae Woods, Miles 
Woods and Ellie Lowery; another great-grandson he was looking forward to 
meeting; his great-great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Kate Barnett; and a 
host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ernestine Frasier; his 
son, Anthony Frasier; his granddaughter, Amy Marie Frasier; his 
son-in-law, Charles Ming; a bonus grandson, Doug Ming; his parents; and 
his siblings, Katherine Odom, Sarah Lamb, Paul Frasier and Juanita Lamb.
Serving as pallbearers were Heath Barnette, Jarrod Frasier, Kyle 
Frasier, Jonathan Lowery, Caden Lowery and Matt Woods. Honoraby 
pallbearers were Dylan Barnette, Drake Frasier, Grant Frasier, Landon 
Frasier and Alison Lowery Woods.
The Frasier family would like to thank Melba Reed and the staff of 
BeeHive Homes --- along with his devoted caregivers, Jessie, KeKe, Hazel 
and Rita --- for the compassionate care provided to their father.

Born on June 8, 1932, she was a Homemaker and a member of the Women's 
Mission at St. Luke M.B. Church.
She died on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 at her residence.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence Gray, Rev. 
John Kenny and Mary Gray, Thomas Earl Gray; her stepsons and their 
respective spouses, Warner and Lydia Jordan, Roy and Sandra Hundley and 
Clamus M. and Teresa Hundley; her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and 
Curtis Williams, Deborah Lofton and Valerie and Turner Floyd; her

Richton, were conducted on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 from Hickory Grove 
Holiness Church, with Brother Evans Freeman and Brother Mitchell Smith 
officiating.
Interment followed at Hickory Grove Holiness Church Cemetery.
He attended Hickory Grove Holiness Church and was employed with 
Goodnight Electric, Heating and Air. He loved to hunt and fish.
He died on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 in State Line.
He is survived by his parents, Nicky and Mary Helen Cochran of Richton; 
his daughter, Cassidy Camille Rowell of Waynesboro; his sister and 
brother-in-law, Rachel and Brian Bishop of Waynesboro; his nephew, 
Connor Bishop of Waynesboro; his niece, Laikyn Bishop of Waynesboro; and 
a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Jessie Bell 
Brewer and George and Eula Rae Cochran; his step-grandmother, Joyce 
Brewer; and an aunt, Patricia Cochran.
