ROBERT FLOYD "BOB" HENDRY

Nov. 20, 1934-June 28, 2024

A private memorial service for Robert Floyd "Bob" Hendry, 89, of

Waynesboro, will be conducted at a future date.

Born in Jones County on Nov. 20, 1934 to Elmer Floyd and Mary Jewel

Anderson Hendry, he served in the United States Army and was a Veteran

of the Korean War. He retired as owner and operator of Hendry's Fish

Farm in the Strengthford Community.

He died on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Veterans Home in Collins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Sarah "Teenie" Hendry of

Waynesboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronny and Sheila Hendry of

Waynesboro and Patrick and Tammy Hendry of Ovett; his daughter and

son-in-law, Elaine and Ron Irwin of Cleveland, Tenn.; three sisters,

nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three

great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah Straub; and

seven brothers and sisters.

STOMEY LEE NORSWORTHY

Sept. 12, 1942-June 22, 2024

Funeral services for Stomey Lee Norsworthy, 80, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Saturday, June 29 from the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home,

with Rev. Eugene Beard, Jr., officiating.

Interment followed at Hayes Quarter Cemetery.

Born on Sept. 12, 1943, he was an Auto Mechanic.

He died on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Diversicare Care in Quitman.

He is survived by his special friend, Dave; his brother, Donnie

Norsworthy; his sisters and brother-in-law, Annie and Frank Pacley and

Tempie Heidelberg; his nephew, Tyrone, and a host of other nephews,

cousins, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ethel Norsworthy; and

two sisters, Veletha Jordan and Bertha Jo.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of

arrangements.

DONNIE LAMAR SIMS

April 2, 1977-June 22, 2024

Funeral services for Donnie Lamar Sims, 47, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from Pineville Missionary Baptist

Church, with Rev. Marvin Chapman officiating.

Interment followed at Pineville Church Cemetery.

Born on April 2, 1977, he worked with Caterpillar, Inc.

He died on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Norcross, Ga.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Ray Sims; his son, Jaxson Lamar Sims;

his mother, Alfreder Sims; his father, Donnie Sims; his sister, Zelphia

Sims; his brother and sister-in-law, Chandler J. and Shawaun Sims; his

brothers and their respective spouses, Michael Clark, Leo and Johnnie

Busby and Melvin andDora Sims; his in-laws, Willie and Christine

Jackson; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Tiffany and Carl Reason of

Millry, Ala., and Stephanie and Khadejah Buxton of Hattiesburg; his

special uncle and aunt, Willie and Gwendolyn Bailey; a great-aunt,

Mildred Everett; special cousins in Shetica Lockhart Phillips, Bryant

Busby and Alexander Patton; and a host of loving and caring aunts,

uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
