BOBBY DERL LITTLE

Funeral services for Bobby Derl Little, 85, of State Line, were

conducted on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from County Line Baptist Church in

State Line, with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Tim Martin officiating.

Interment followed at County Line Cemetery in State Line.

Born in Magee on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1939 to the late James Curtis and

Lola Lennie (Roberts) Little, he was a member of County Line Baptist

Church. He retired as an Independent Consultant Seismographer.

He died on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jenell Little of State

Line; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Margaret Little of

Waynesboro and Health Little of State Line; his daughter and son-in-law,

Shiela and Ronnie Brewer of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren and their

respective spouses, Alex and Brittany Little, Lucas Little, Ryan and

Christa Little, Drew and Hannah Little, Savanah and Dylan Pugh, Casey

Little, Bryson and Audra Brewer, Bethany and Lawrence Bringard and

Brooke and Barrett Freeman; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces

and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Curtis and Lola Lennie

(Roberts) Little; his son, Donald Curtis Little; three sisters, Zelma

Yates, Katie Tuggle and Polly Ingram; and his brother, James Earl

Little.

GLEN A. SANDERSON

May 10, 1943-June 23, 2024

Funeral services for Glen A. Sanderson, 81, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Glen Bynum officiating.

Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Born in Wayne County on Monday, May 10, 1943 to the late Roan W. and

Lucille Sanderson, he was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He retired from the oil field and carpentry.

He died on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at South Central Regional Medical

Center in Laurel.

He is survived by his loving way of 62 years, Linda Sanderson of

Waynesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Amanda Sanderson of

Waynesboro; his daughter, Gayla Sanderson of Waynesboro; four

grandchildren and their respective spouses, Brantley Sanderson, Leah and

Matt Warren, Dillan Rush and Dalton Rush; two great-grandchildren,

Finleigh McInnis and Alleigh Kate Warren; and a host of nieces and

nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roan W. and Lucille Sanderson;

five brothers, Alvin Troy Sanderson, W.R. Sanderson, Foye Sanderson,

Rick Sanderson and Robert Sanderson; and three sisters, Minnie Reed,

Carrie Shows and Faye Nell Thompson.

ROBERT BREDEL TURNER

June 29, 1962-June 14, 2024

Funeral services for Robert Bredel Turner, 61, of Aquilla, Ala., were

conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from New Rock Missionary Baptist

Church, with Pastor Johnnie Heartfield officiating.

Interment followed at New Rock Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born on June 29, 1962, he worked in public education for 24 years.

He died on Friday, June 14, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Turner; seven children, Tavonia,

Tommy, Chamita, Lorian (Robert), Gregory (Ashley) and Earvin; his

brother-in-law, George Henderson; his sister-in-law, Claudette

Henderson; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of

nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Henderson; his siblings,

Dorothy, Ora, Mildred, Callie, Caressia, Horace Turner; and his parents,

Leslie and Ruby Turner.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of

DOROTHY ELENE PITTS

Sept. 2, 1934-June 10, 2024

Funeral services for Dorothy Elene Pitts, 89, of Laurel, were conducted

on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with Brother Scott Davis and Brother Kenny

Morris officiating.

Interment followed at Myrick Cemetery in Laurel.

Born in Wayne County on Sunday, Sept. 2, 1934, she died on Monday, June

10, 2024 at Laurelwood Assisted Living in Laurel.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cindy Pitts;

her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Fred Pittman; her grandson and

his spouse, Chase and Alesha Pitts; and her granddaughters and their

respective spouses, Jennifer and Eddie Robuck Hollingsworth, Emily

Meadows, Rebecca and Josh Hawk and Shellaina Eason.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Reginald C.

Pitts; her parents, Arna Brewer and Myrtle Guthrie Brewer; her son,

Shelton Ray Pitts; her brother, Donald Brewer; her father-in-law, John

Mabry Pitts; and her mother-in-law, Fannie Pitts.

Pallbearers were her family and friends.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel was in charge of arrangements.
