Funeral services for Tommy Will Boykin, 73, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Danny Dickerson officiating.

Interment followed at White House Cemetery.

Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, Feb. 3, 1951 to the late Kenneth and

Mattie Boykin, he worked as a Millwright and Boilermaker for Turner

industries.

He died on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Care Center of Laurel in

Laurel.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Byron Tommy Boykin of

Brandon and Reed and Kimberly Boykin of Louin; a daughter and

son-in-law, Renee and Ray Fox of McHenry; three brothers, Bobby Stevens

of LaRose, La., Jerry Boykin of Mobile, Ala., and Lynn Buckalew of

Hattiesburg; his sister, Sandra Fenech of Waynesboro; six grandchildren,

Lori Clark, Emily Bradford, Hannah Boykin, Layne Boykin, Paxton Boykin

and Presley Boykin; and a host of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his his parents, Kenneth and Mattie Boykin;

a brother, Jimmy Boykin; and a sister, June Mercer.

Funeral services for Prince Trotter, Sr., 68, of Shubuta, were conducted

on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from the Chapel of McDonald and Sons Funeral

Home, with Rev. Rayford Matthew officiating.

Interment followed at Greenhill Church Cemetery in Shubuta.

Born on Sept. 3, 1956, he worked in the oil field and with Masonite.

He died on Friday, May 10, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Prince and Kendra Nikki

Trotter and Terrence Parnell Trotter; his brothers and sisters-in-law,

George and Frankie Sue Trotter, Clarence Trotter and Willie and Michelle

Howard Wallace; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Willie Nelson,

Sharon and Martius Henry, Karen Trotter and Mamie Dyess; his

grandchildren, Peyton, Jordan, Brycen, Terrence and Brayden Nico

Trotter; his aunt, Georgia Carter; a special great-nephew, Myles "Jungle

Bunny" Moffett; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by Willie Lee "Cracker" Trotter, Bertha Lampley

Trotter, Willie Sonny Melvia and John Allen Trotter.

Funeral services for Rosa Lee Peterson, 88, of Millry, Ala., were

conducted on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from Flat Branch Church in Millry,

with Rev. Jim Koen and Rev. Junior Brewer officiating.

Interment followed at Flat Branch Cemetery in Millry.

Born in Millry on Wednesday, July 10, 1935 to the late William Clayton

Tate and Florrie Gerturde Tate, she was a member of Flat Branch Church.

She retired as an Assistant Manager with Cam Manufacturing.

She died on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her

loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Peterson of

Millry; her son, Raymond Randolph Kirkland of Millry; two sisters,

Louise Ford of Chatom, Ala., and Lora Mitchell of Bigbee, Ala.; two

grandchildren and their respective spouses, Shea and Ty Whigham and

Brent and Heather Kirkland, all of Millry; and three

great-grandchildren, Jayke Whigham, Haisley Whigham and Langston

Kirkland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clayton Tate and

Florrie Gerturde Tate; three brothers, James Clayton Tate, Leonard Tate

and Thomas Tate; and two sisters, Lois McCary and Florine Dearmon.

He died on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Ronald

George of Waynesboro, Angela and Johnny Douglas of Quitman, Cassandra

Hentley of Waynesboro and Jennifer and Mario Williams of Hattiesburg;

his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Zeder Pough and Gray and

Mattie Pough, all of Waynesboro; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary

G. Jones, Barbara Powell, Carolyn Pough and Beatrice and Maxie Henry,

all of Waynesboro; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a

goddaughter, Jalen McCree of Quitman.

Jackson, Renata Davis and Audrianna Davis, all of Laurel; and his
