Graveside services for James Earl "Pom" Cooley, Sr., 65, of Waynesboro

were conducted on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from Waynesboro Cemetery, with

Rev. Donald R. Gandy officiating.

Born on March 20, 1958, he was a Contractor.

He died on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Cooley; three sons, James Earl

Cooley, Jr., Tommy Chambers and Javarius Cooley; two daughters and a

son-in-law, Jaquilla and Stephen Jones and Asia Pickett Cooley; two

brothers and a sister-in-law, Labarron and Carolyn Cooley and Kenneth

Everett; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Hillry Johnson; and two

grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services for Marcus Terelle Coleman, Sr., 51, of Shubuta, were

conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from Altair Missionary Baptist

Church, with Rev. Tyrone Spencer officiating.

Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Born on Oct. 20, 1972, he was an Independent Contractor and a Veteran of

the United States Navy.

He died on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his residence.

He is survived by his parents, Calvin Thigpen, Sr., and Mary Coleman;

three sons, Chris, Marcus, Jr., and Marques; his daughter, Ladasha; his

brothers, Eric, Charles and Erick; his sister, Katelan; and two

grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

ROLANDA MCFARLAND

Funeral services for Rolanda McFarland, 46, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from Green Hill Baptist Church in

Shubuta, with Rev. Abraham McKenzie, Jr., officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Born on Sept. 6, 1977, she was a Customer Service Representative.

She died on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital.

She is survived by her parents, Dora and James McFarland; her sons,

Ra'Darrius McFarland and Brayden Yates; her daughters, A'Nya Yates,

Skyla Yates and Demiyah Walley; her sister, Relanda McFarland; two

grandchildren, a godbrother, two godsons, a goddaughter and her fiance,

Brandon Yates.

She was preceded in death by a son.

ROBERT O. "BOBBY" FICK

Aug.10, 1943-March 11, 2024

In Loving Memory of Mr. Robert O. Fick

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the peaceful passing

of Mr. Robert O. "Bobby" Fick, age 80, of State Line. Bobby lived a

life committed to serving his country and safeguarding his community. He

departed this world on Monday, March 11, leaving behind a legacy defined

by love, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Bobby answered the call of duty at a young

age, serving his country with distinction as a proud veteran. His

bravery and dedication to protecting freedom and justice were evident

throughout his military career in the US Army and Army National Guard,

where he served with honor and valor. Bobby's service to his country

spanned over four decades, beginning with his service in the US Army

with a tour in Vietnam. He would then transition to the Mississippi

Army National Guard and serve 33 years, which included deployment in

Operation Desert Storm before his retirement as Sergeant First Class.

Upon returning home, Bobby continued his life of service by dedicating

himself to his community of Leakesville and Greene County. His legacy of

service included a distinguished career in law enforcement, which

included serving as Officer and Chief of the Leakesville Police

Department, Constable of Greene County, and Deputy and Court Bailiff

with the Greene County Sheriff's Department for almost four decades.

His commitment to upholding the law and protecting others never failed,

earning him the respect and admiration of his peers and the gratitude of

the community he loved.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bobby was a pillar of strength

and love for his family. His steadfast devotion to his family was

evident in every action and word, leaving a lasting mark on those he

held dear. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids on the

farm, attending ballgames, and working with his animals.

Services were conducted at 12 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the

First Baptist Church of Buckatunna, with Bro. Terry Williams and Bro.

Irvis Dale Everett officiating. Burial followed in Shanty Fork

Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Coaker officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert O. and Pearl Fick; and

his brother-in-law, Dave Dearman.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Billie Sue Fick; his

children, Lisa (Dan) Brewer of Sand Hill, Sandy (Vicki) Hampton of

Petal, Steven (Stacey) Hampton of Sumrall, Shawn (Kate) Hampton of

Petal, Scott (Christine) Hampton of Petal, and Suzanne Manning of

Moselle; his grandchildren, Anna Catherine (Ryan), Emma, Lindsey, Avery,

Ann Hardin, Ryan, Will, Ella, Ethan, Julianna, Whitley, Knox, McKinley,

and Lucy; his brothers, Ralph (Kathy) Fick of Lena, MS and Richard

(Janie) Fick of State Line; and his sister, Ruth Ann Dearman of State

Line. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, great nieces and nephews,

and extended family.

Bobby will be remembered for his big heart, loyalty, and selfless

dedication to others. Though he may no longer walk among us, his

spirit will live on in the memories of those he touched and the values

he instilled in his loved ones.

HETTIE B. "MUH" GRAY TAYLOR-MITCHELL

Nov. 18, 1929-Feb. 13, 2024

Funeral services for Hettie B. "Muh" Gray Taylor-Mitchell, 94, of

Waynesboro, were conducted on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 from New West

Point Baptist Church, with Pastor Chance Taylor officiating.

Interment followed at the Taylor Family Cemetery.

Born on Nov. 18, 1929, she was a Homemaker.

She died on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jessie and Ollie Mae of

Waynesboro; her daughters, Mildred, Faye, Willie Mae, Valerie, Del and

Amy of Waynesboro and Mavis Taylor Smooth of Slidell, La; her sister,

Rosa Lee Hayes; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sons, a

grandson, a granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.
