Funeral services for Ann Holifield, 75, of Buckatunna, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Watts, Rev. Donald R. Suggs and Rev. Ryan Farmer officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Archusa Memorial Gardens in Quitman.

Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, June 29, 1946 to Joe and Catherine Davis, she was a member of Red Creek Church of God.

She died on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 at Wayne General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Sim Holifield of Buckatunna; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and John Lucas of Chunky; her sister, Kathleen Waites of Waynesboro; two granddaughters and their spouses, Sheree and Ryan Farmer of Preston and Lauren and Elilot Smith of Meridian; three great-granddaughters, Lilly Farmer of Preston, Ainsley Brooke Smith of Meridian and Lena Lucas of Yazoo City; and four great-grandsons, Kyler Farmer and Kannon Farmer, both of Preston, and Rhett Smith and Ryder Smith, both of Meridian.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, James Holifield; her father, Joe Davis; her mother, Catherine Davis; two brothers, Rayborn Davis and Dannis Davis; and two grandsons, Brooks Morris and Tyler Lucas.
