Notice is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City

of Waynesboro, Mississippi, will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m. on

the 1st day of August, 2023 for the purchase of a new wheeled loader

backhoe with diesel engine.

Specifications include: an enclosed cab, four-wheel drive unit with an

extending rear boom and a grapple hook on the front bucket. Additional

specifications are on file and may be obtained at the City Clerk's

Office, 714 Wayne St., Waynesboro, MS 39367 or by calling (601)

735-4874.

Additional factors to be considered in determining the lowest and best

bid for the new wheel loader backhoe are: (1) Dealer's ability to

provide service within a reasonable time, (2) Availability of

replacement and repair parts, (3) Ability of dealer to service unit

other than in dealership location, (4) Time required for dealer to

deliver unit after the date of bid award, (5) Dealer's labor rate for

service and mileage charges, (6) Terms of warranty as to parts and

service, (7) Adaptability of unit to existing attachments and equipment,

(8) Additional training required, if any, for employees that will

operate the unit, and (9) Any other relevant factors as determined by

the Board of Aldermen.

All bids must be received in a sealed plain envelope labeled on the

outside of the envelope: "Bid for New Wheeled Loader Backhoe."

The City of Waynesboro, Board of Aldermen, reserves the right to reject

any and all bids and the right to waive any defects or irregularities in

any bid received. All bids may be mailed and/or delivered to the

following address: 714 Wayne Street, Waynesboro, MS 39367.
