PATRICIA GAIL RUZICH

Nov. 25, 1943-May 4, 2023

Patricia Gail Ruzich, 79, of Bradenton, Fla., and formerly of

Waynesboro, died on Thursday, May 4, 2023. There will be no local

services at this time.

Born on Nov. 25, 1943 to the late Galvin and Verlene (McLain) Pace, she

was a member of the Sarsota Shell Club.

She is survived by her children, Julia and Laurence Marsh of Los

Angeles, Calif.; and her son, Tony Ruzich of Bradenton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward William Ruzich, in

1999.

RICHARD ANDERSON "FAT BABY" MCLAIN

Graveside services for Richard Anderson "Fat Baby" McLain, 53, of

Waynesboro, were conducted on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from Boyles Chapel

Cemetery, with Rev. Aaron Cooley and Rev. Curtis Pitts officiating.

Born in Waynesboro on Monday, July 1969 to Dion and Lois McLain, he was

a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He worked as a Truck Driver with G

B Boots Smith.

"Fat Baby" will always be remembered by his family for his love as a

truck driver and wonderful provider. He had a great love for his

grandchildren, with whom he was known as "Poppa" and "Pop Pop."

He died on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Christa Dawn McLain of

Waynesboro; his mother, Lois Waller McLain of Waynesboro; his son,

Tucker Anderson McLain of Waynesboro; his daughter, Maygen McLain of

Waynesboro; his daughter-in-love, Katelyn McLain of Waynesboro; and six

grandchildren, Kaydence Andrews, Kyndal Andrews, Sayge McLain, Blayke

Pitts, Landri McLain and Ellis McLain.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dion McLain; and his

grandparents, John and Myranda (Nicholson) Waller and Ellis and Clyde

(Overstreet) McLain.

Funeral services for James "Jim" Murphy, 66, of Aquilla, Ala., were

conducted on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Dr. Andy Olson officiating.

Interment followed at Aquilla Cemetery in Aquilla.

Born in Waynesboro on Sunday, May 26, 1956 to the late Roy Murphy, Sr.,

and Audrey Nell Murphy, he was a devoted member of Abundant Life Church,

where he also served as Assistant Pastor. He was retired from

Georgia-Pacific.

He died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at his residence.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna L. Murphy of

Aquilla; his brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Wanda Murphy of

Tillman's Corner, Ala.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Loucinda

Thompson of Hemet, Calif., and Nellie and Phillip Smith of Mount Vernon,

Ala.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Murphy, Sr., and Audrey

Nell Murphy; and his brother, Roy "Pete" Murphy, Jr.

Pallbearers were Scottie Lucas, Trevor Lucas, Scott Carlisle, Curtis

Toomey, James Franks and Horace Turner.

Funeral services for Curtis Ray Hilton, 63, of Waynesboro, were

Born on Feb. 1, 1960, he was a former employee at Wayne Farms and the

City of Waynesboro.

He died on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Teresa Hilton of Waynesboro; a son and

daughter-in-law, Juston and Tacarra Hilton of Waynesboro; two daughters

and a son-in-law, Tah'Liana and Tra'Cee and Jacqueline Forrest, all

of Waynesboro; a brother, Lionel Hilton of California; a sister, Vivian

Moore of Laurel; and six grandchildren.

Born on March 15, 1936, he was a Retiree from Masonite Corporation.

He died on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in

Hattiesburg.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Donna

Thompson of Waynesboro, Michael and Charity Gray of Waynesboro and

Dennis and Sarah Thompson of Augusta, Ga.; five daughters and three

sons-in-law, Kathy and Leslie Hundley of Waynesboro, Charlotte and

Charles Lewis of Waynesboro, Patrice and Davis Rankin-Bourruel of

Waynesboro, Vivian D. Nelson of Fort Worth, Texas and Vanessa D. Propes

of Fort Worth; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and

great-great-grandchildren.

of Waynesboro; three brothers, Albert Nelson and Kermit Gray, both of

Shubuta, and Luther Nelson of Albany, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, April 13, 1946 to Obie Mason and Stella

Mason, he was a member of Water Oak Baptist Church. He retired as an Oil

Well Consultant in the oilfield industry.

He died on Monday, April 24, 2023 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Mason of Waynesboro; his son and

daughter-in-law, Robby and Wanda Mason of Waynesboro; his daughter and

son-in-law, Kim and Keith Bunch of Waynesboro; two brothers and

sisters-in-law, Charlie and Janice Mason of Buckatunna and Ronnie and

Melissa Mason of Waynesboro; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Dors

Ross, Debbie McIlwain and Paula and Randy Trigg, all of Waynesboro; her

sister-in-law, Hazel Mason of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren and their

Virgil Lee Franks and Curtis Lee Franks, all of State Line; four sisters
