NANCY MARTIN

A memorial service for Nancy Martin, 77, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
Nov. 5, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home. Visitation will be
from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from the Parlor of Freeman
Funeral Home.
Born in Mobile, Ala., on Friday, Dec. 29, 1944 to the late A.F.
"Buddy" Nicholson and Louise Swain Nicholson, she was retired as the
Owner and Operator of WABO Radio in Waynesboro.
She died on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care
Home in Waynesboro.
She is survived by her two sons and her daughter-in-law, Wilbur Justin
Martin III of Waynesboro and Nick and Donna Martin of Mobile; and her
granddaughter, Addison Claire Martin of Mobile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Justin "Bill"
Martin, Jr.; her father, A.F. "Buddy" Nicholson; and her mother,
Louise Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Martin may be made to the

ALICE "BABY RAE" COXWELL CUNNINGHAM
Nov. 10, 1928-Oct. 27, 2022
Graveside services for Alice "Baby Rae" Coxwell Cuningham, 93, will be
at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from Mt. Zion Cemetery, with
Rev. Brandon Rowell officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on
Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Born on Nov. 10, 1928 in Buckatunna to the late Alice and Frank
Sullivan, she lived in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., for more than 50 years.
She worked in various positions before retiring from the Okaloosa County
(Fla.) School System. She was a member of the Cinco Baptist Church for
many years. One of her passions was dancing, and she enjoyed her
membership with the Psarda Club. She also valued her years of walking
with friends at the mall. Alice always enjoyed a good joke.
She died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 at a hospital in Fort
Walton Beach.
She is survived by her in-laws, Mickey Sullivan of Buckatunna, Dorothy
and Mervin Coxwell of Waynesboro and Norris Coxwell of Mt. Zion; two
daughters, Sherra Montgomery of State Line and Linda Ladner of Navarre,
Fla.; her son-in-law, Mike Ladner; six grandchildren, nine
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host
of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Sullivan; her
beloved son, Tommy Ray Coxwell; a grandson, three brothers and three
sisters.
The family would like to thank both McLaughlin Funeral Home in Fort
Walton Beach and Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro for all the
preparations and arrangements. Also, a special thanks to all the
personnel at Belvedere Commons for the loving care she received while
being there.

Funeral services for Floyd Thomas Pacey, 78, of Waynesboro were
conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral
Home, with Rev. Chris Cooper and Rev. Tommy Davis officiating.
Interment followed at White House Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County on Thursday, Nov. 11, 1943 to the late Frank Thomas
Pacey and Zella Wayne McLain Pacey, he was a member of McLain Chapel
Assembly of God Church. He was retired as a Pipe Welder with T.K.
Stanley, Inc.
He died on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his
loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra Pacey of
Waynesboro; his son, Jeffrey Pacey of Gulfport; three daughters and two
sons-in-law, Sherry and Steve Farabee of Vancleave, Jennifer and Mark
Randall and Linsie DeLorme, all of Brandon; his sister, Frankie McLain
of Waynesboro; and nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Candace, Bradley,
Lauren, Rebekah, Noah, Jakob, Matthew and Cooper; and a
great-granddaughter, Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Thomas Pacey; his mother,
Zella Wayne Pacey; and his brother, Gene Pacey.

GENIVA TURNER NICKELSON
Nov. 17, 1919-Oct. 24, 2022
Funeral services for Geniva Turner Nickelson, 102, of Millry, Ala., were
conducted on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 from Zion Chapel AME Church in
Millry, with Rev. Horace Turner, Jr., officiating.
Interment followed at New Jordan Cemetery in Millry.
Born on Nov. 17, 1919, she was a Retired Tree Grader with the
Mississippi Forestry Commission and a member of the Stewardess Board and
Mother Board at Zion Chapel AME Church.
Shed died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 at her residence.
She is survived by he son, James "Charles" Nickelson of Millry; nine
daughters and five sons-in-law, Hattie and A.D. Turner, Mary and Floyd
Manuel, Gennie and Billy Moody, Dannie Mae Nickelson, Lidna and Jacques
Lee, Verna Nickelson and Shirley Nickelson, all of Millry, and William
Grave and Ouida and Robert Daniels, all of Sandusky, Ohio; 25
grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters,
three brothers and two daughters.

Graveside services for Melvin "Gabe" Trotter, 60, of Waynesboro,
were conducted on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 from Green Hill Baptist Church
Cemetery, with Rev. Matthew Rayford officiating.
Born on Dec. 7, 1961, he was a Factory Worker and also worked in the oil
field industry.
He died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 in Shubuta.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie McDougleas Trotter; two daughters,
Katra Moffett and Grenta Trotter; five bonus children, four sisters,
four brothers and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertna Lampley Trotter; his
father, Willie Lee "Cracker" Trotter; two brothers and his
grandparents.

REV. ROBERT L. HOWARD

Funeral services for Rev. Robert L. Howard, 68, of Waynesboro, were
conducted on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 from St. Luke UM Church in
Matherville, with Rev. Mack Chambers officiating.
Interment followed at Mt. Levy Cemetery.
Born on Jan. 15, 1954, he was a Minister.
He died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 in Waynesboro.
He is survived by his son, Maurice; two daughters, Teresa and Jenny; his
brother, Jimmy Howard; his sister, Nettie Howard; eight grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers.

and Rev. Marjorie Walker officiating.

Born on Sept. 30, 1936, she was a retired Custodian with Illinois Bell.
She died on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at Wisteria Manor in Shubuta.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Betty Gray Wolford, 74, of Moselle, were
conducted on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 from Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Rev.
Jason Sehon officiating.
Born in Buckatunna on Monday, June 28, 1948 to the late Johnny Busby and
Viola Busby, she was retired as a Postmaster for the United States
Postal Service.
She died on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at her residence.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Kenneth "Kenny"
Wolford of Moselle; her son and daughter-in-law, Floyd M. and Anna Gray,
Jr., of Lumberton; her daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Brentley
Freeman of Clara; her stepson and his spouse, Wendy and Walter Malone of
Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny M. and
Margie Busby of Fruitdale, Ala., and Jerry G. and Jerry Busby, Sr., of
Caldwell, Texas; two sisters, Jeanne Allen of Moble, Ala., and Dorothy
"Dot" Long of Purvis; three grandchildren and their respective
spouses, Kaitlyn and Trace Johnson, Laken and Grayson Livingston and
Caden Gray, all of Clara; seven step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild,
Ridge Johnson; three step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Busby; her mother, Viola
Busby; a brother, James "Buddy" Busby; and a sister, Julie Busby.
