Funeral services for Dessie Lee McLendon, 80, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and
formerly of Waynesboro, will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29. By request
of the family, the service will be live streamed on Turner Funeral

Born on Dec. 3, 1941, she was a retired Guidance Counselor with the
Wayne County School District.
She died on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Northwest Gwinnett Hospital in
Lawrenceville.

scholarship fund in McLendon's name at Alcorn State University.Please

Funeral services for Percy Gray, Sr., 92, of Shubuta, will be at 1 p.m.
on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from Green Hill Baptist Church in Shubuta,
with Rev. Donald E. Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 12-6
p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Green Hill
Cemetery. The family asks that all attendees wear a mask upon entry.
Born on July 16, 1930, he was a retired Pulpwood Laborer.

Funeral services for Di'len Jamari Watters, 17, of Waynesboro, will be
at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 from New Vision Baptist Church, with
Rev. John Lacey officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on
Thursday, July 28, 2022 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, followed
by a second visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022
from New Vision Baptist Church.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at New Pilgrim
Cemetery.
Born on Sept. 9, 2004, he was a Wayne County High School Student and a
Cook at Hardee's Restaurant.
He died on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at University Medical Center in
Jackson.

TRACY "BRAD" TONEY
March 26, 1956-July 18, 2022
Funeral services for Tracy "Brad" Toney, 66, of Shubuta, were conducted
on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from Shubuta United Methodist Church, with
Rev. Pamela Bruns officiating.
Interment followed in the Toney Family Cemetery in Shubuta.
Born in Meridian on Monday, March 26, 1956 to the late Ras Lee Toney,
Sr., and Lillian Baker Toney, he was a member of Shubuta United
Methodist Church. He worked in the timber management industry.
He died on Monday, July 18, 2022 in Shubuta.
He is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ras Lee "Buddy" and
Pat Toney, Jr., of Brandon and Barry S. Toney of Dallas, Texas; his
niece and her spouse, Brielle and Brad Pepper of Flora; and his
great-nephew, Finley Ras Pepper of Florda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ras Lee Toney, Sr., and Lillian
B. "Patsy" Toney.
Pallbearers were Dudley Donald, Howie Freeman, Martin Jenkins, Kenny
Desporte, Jim Morgan, Anthony Cran, Dr. Jack McHenry and Dan Kuder.

Memorial in care of Shubuta United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 464,
Shubuta, MS 39360.

RANDY MITCHELL SUMRALL
A memorial service for Randy Mitchell Sumrall, 64, of Waynesboro, will
be held at a later date.
Born in Waynesboro on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1957 to Walter Sumrall and
Katherine Hutchinson, he worked as a Roughneck in the oil field
industry.
He is survived by his father, Walter Sumrall of Buckatunna; his
stepmother, Peggy Sumrall of Buckatunna; his daughter and son-in-law,
Miranda and Kenneth Hair of State Line; his son, Andy Sumrall of
Waynesboro; his sister, Shirley Young of State Line; and three
grandchildren, Bryce Sumrall, Alexis Sumrall and Brooke Hair.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Henderson.

Funeral services for Bevely Benard McCann, 58, of Avondale, La., were
conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from Altair Missionary Baptist
Church.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Born on Jan. 10, 1964, she was a Child Care Provider.
She died on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Jefferson Health Care in Jefferson,
La.
She is survived by her son, Benjamin McCann; her daughter, Bria McCann;
her brother, Kevin McCann; five sisters, Angella McCann, Tammy Jones,
Linda Scott, Michelle McCann and Karen Ruffin; a grandchild; and her
father, J.C. McCann.
She was preceded in death by her mother.

Nov. 19, 1957-July 15, 2022
Funeral services for Reginald McCann, 64, of Chickasaw, Ala., and
formerly of Waynesboro, were conducted on Friday, July 22, 2022 from the
Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
His remains were cremated after the service.
Born on Nov. 19, 1957, he was a Laborer.
He died on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Spring Hill Medical Center in
Mobile, Ala.
He is survived by his brother, Rev. Darryl McCann of Waynesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
