KATHLEEN RIGNEY "MRS. C" COOK

Funeral services for Kathleen Rigney "Mrs. C" Cook, 89, of Waynesboro, 
were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024 from the Chapel of Freeman 
Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Harris and Rev. Michael Stevenson 
officiating.
Interment followed at Waynesboro Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County on Friday, Aug. 30, 1935 to the late Dewey Winston 
and Ada Catherine Rigney, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She died on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024 at Southern Living Specialty Care 
Residency in Waynesboro.
She is survived by three children and their respective spouses, Chester 
Ray "Ray" and Elaine Cook, Jr., of Waynesboro, Lesia Kay and Kenny Davis 
of Buckatunna and Winston Clinton "Clint" and Tracy Cook of Turnerville, 
Ala.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" and Don Martin of 
Walker, La., and Nadine Lowery of Chunchula, Ala.; her sister-in-law, 
Ann Lovelace of Waynesboro; five grandchildren and their respective 
spouses, Amy Ralls, Chester Ray "Trey" Cook III, Jennifer Rene and 
Matthew "Matt" White, Olivia Raye Cook and Jeremy Myles Davis; five 
great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elise Ralls, Kathryn Nicole Ralls, 
Sebastian Ray Cook, Alyssa Jade Cook and Griffin Baylor White; and a 
host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ray Cook, Sr.; her 
parents, Dewey Winston and Ada Catherine Rigney; her brother, James 
Thomas "J.T." Rigney; and a granddaughter, Angela "Angel" Cook.
Pallbearers were Jay Hutto, Chuck Hardee, Brad Smith, Kenny Odom, Bill 
Harrison and Albert Busby.
