WCSO asking for public input regarding drive-by shooting death

The Wayne County Sheriff's Department is asking for information from 
the public to help solve a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death 
of a local man.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were called to the scene of 
an incident on Claiborne Jones Road. They found that Eddie Poole, Jr., 
44, had suffered gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at Wayne 
General Hospital.

No suspects had been taken into custody at of Wednesday.

Chief Deputy Geoffrey Clark said the investigation is continuing and the 
department is asking for input from the public to help identify a 
suspect or suspects. Details were not released as the investigation is 
ongoing.
