Feb. 3, 1956-June 17, 2023

Funeral services for Tim Smith, 67, of Waynesboro, will be at 10 a.m. on

Thursday, June 22, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with

Rev. William "Buddy" Jones and Rev. Dixie Holder-Cummings officiating.

Following the service, interment will take place at Hebron Cemetery in

Wayne County.

Born in Waynesboro on Friday, Feb. 3, 1956 to Ralph Thomas Smith, Sr.,

and Clarice Smith, he was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church. He

worked as an Operator with Hiwannee Water Association for 40 years.

He died on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Smith of Waynesboro; his son and

daughter-in-law, Ralph Thomas "Trey" and Jenice Smith III of Stringer;

two daughters and sons-in-law, Courtney and Hershell Spooner of Ponce de

Leon, Fla., and Jenia and Antonio Mercer of Waynesboro; two brothers,

Charles "Chuck" Smith of Gautier and Douglas Tyrone "Bobo" Smith of

Clara; seven grandchildren and their respective spouses, Isaac Thomas

Spooner of Ponce de Leon, Klarice Marie "Klaire" Spooner of Ponce de

Leon, Nicholas Lee and Kelsey Spooner of Caryville, Fla., Alexis

Cheyenene "Lexi" Mercer of Waynesboro, Kalie Jade Mercer of Waynesboro,

Mia Grace Mercer of Waynesboro, Kali Jade Mercer of Waynesboro, Mia

Grace Mercer of Waynesboro and Noah Wessyn Spooner of Ponce de Leon; and

three great-grandchildren, Isabella Grace Spooner, Camille Faith Spooner

and Allison Hope Spooner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Thomas Smith; his mother,

Clarice Smith; and his aunt, Louise Stanley.

March 3, 1944-June 18, 2023

Funeral services for Bertha Ann Bonner, 79, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral

Home, with Rev. Paul Harris and Rev. Jason Sehon officiating.

Interment followed in Winchester Cemetery.

Born in Uriah, Ala., on Friday, March 3, 1944, she was a member of

Calvary Baptist Church. She was retired as a Bookkeeper with Wayne

Medical Lab.

She died on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan Bonner of Waynesboro; her son,

Benji Bonner of Waynesboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christa and

Gerald Brewer of Waynesboro and Cynthia Green of Waynesboro; her sister

and brother-in-law, Marie and Ben Smith of Alabama; seven grandchildren

and their respective spouses, Justin and Rachel Brewer of Waynesboro,

Allen and Jessica Waller of Waynesboro, Hailey and Lee Holdren of

Chillicohte, Ohio, Natalie Brewer of Waynesboro, Colton Greene of

Waynesboro, Rachel Greene of Waynesboro and Jalyn Brewer of Waynesboro;

and three great-grandchildren, Aven Atkins, Jenson Brewer and Adi

Holdren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sham Adams; her mother, Ina

Colbert; her brother, Hubert Adams; two sisters, Jeanette Kirksey and

Francis Hill; and her son-in-law, Ronnie Green.

Graveside services for Katherine Coxwell Bunch, 56, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from Jones-Hill Cemetery in Millry,

Ala.

Born in Waynesboro on Friday, Oct. 14, 1966 to the late J.W. and Vertie

Lee Coxwell, she retired as a Manager with Norman's Food Outlet.

She died on Friday, June 16, 2023 at University of South Alabama Medical

Center in Mobile, Ala.

She is survived by her husband, Malcolm "Boo Boo" Bunch of Waynesboro;

her son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Mary Katherine Hutchinson of

Waynesboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Dric Hutchinson of

Waynesboro; her stepson, Chris Bunch of Waynesboro; three sisters and

two brothers-in-law, Jackie and Roger Palmer of Buckatunna, Jessica and

David Dearman of Waynesboro and Michelle Coxwell of Waynesboro; nine

grandchildren, Hayden, Hunter, Jayla, Harley, Kaydence, Payton, Logan,

Mekhi and Keegan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Vertie Lee Coxwell.

EARNESTINE D. HARRIS

July 25, 1950-June 17, 2023

Funeral services for Earnestine D. Harris, 72, of Buckatunna, were

conducted on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from Chicora United Missionary

Baptist Church, with Bishop Karl Rogers officiating.

Interment followed at Chicora-Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buckatunna.

Born on July 25, 1950, she was a Retired CNA.

She died on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Greene County Hospital in

Leakesville.

She is survived by five sons, Tommy, Rodney and Joseph Harris, all of

Buckatunna, Calvin Harris of Virginia and Derrick Harris of Woodville;

her daughter, Glenda Harris of Buckatunna; two brothers and a

sister-in-law, Roosevelt and Sandra Dennis of Belvedere, Ill., and Leroy

Dennis of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Erma Dennis of Laurel and

Geraldine Hill of Buckatunna; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren

and 14 great-great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and three

brothers.
