Separate sealed bids will be received by the Wayne County Board of Supervisors in the boardroom at the Wayne County Courthouse, Waynesboro, Mississippi, until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2022, for the construction of a County Road Re-Seal Project of approximately 58.74 Miles of County Roads in Districts Two, Three, & Four named A thru Y , also known as Engineer's Project No. WCBS-104-21. Bids will be opened in public and read aloud.
The Plans, Specifications, and Contract documents are on file and can be viewed and obtained online via the website of the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at www.clarkengineersprojects.com. The anti-sniping effect will auto extend the reverse auction bid time any time a bid is placed in the last five (5) minutes of the reverse auction and can auto extend the reverse auction multiple times until the bidding on the reverse auction ends.

Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District (SMPDD) is soliciting youth proposals for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The WIOA youth program primarily addresses the needs of youth with barriers to education, employment, and training in the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area (TDWDA). SMPDD requests proposals from organizations interested in being out-of-school and in-school youth service providers to fulfill the purpose and intent of WIOA. The following proposals are requested:
Out-of-School for counties: Clarke, Covington, Forrest, George, Greene, Harrison, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Kemper, Lamar, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Pearl River, Perry, Smith, Stone, and Wayne.
In-School for counties: Clarke, Covington, Forrest, George, Greene, Harrison, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Kemper, Lamar, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Pearl River, Perry, Smith, Stone, and Wayne.

REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR TEMPORARY STAFFING AGENCY & PAYROLL SERVICES PROVIDER
Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District (SMPDD), as the fiscal agent for the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area (TDWDA), is seeking vendors who can provide temporary staffing and payroll services for work-based learning and other workforce initiatives within the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area. Eligible vendors must be able to: pay assigned employees wages, withhold and transmit payroll taxes, provide unemployment insurance, workers compensation benefits, and all required federal wage and hour financial obligations. The proposed services will be provided to eligible participants (which may be as young as 16 years old) of State and Federally funded workforce programs. Funding may be provided through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Youth, Adult, Dislocated Worker) and/or the Mississippi Department of Human Services (Career STEP) programs that SMPDD/TDWDA administers.
The term of the agreement shall commence on March 1, 2022, and end on December 31, 2022. The agreement may be extended for a period of three (3) successive one-year periods upon written notice to the contractor at least ten (10) days prior to the anniversary date. The new agreement would be effective January 1, 2023.
Specifications:
• The vendor must have the ability to provide pre-employment services (background checks, drug
screenings, etc.)
• The vendor must have been in business for a minimum of three (3) years prior to submission of bid
• The vendor must have the ability, capacity, skill and financial resources to perform the service
required with a cost reimbursement agreement
• The vendor must be ADA, OSHA, and EEO compliant
• Financial and Insurance documentation may be requested
• At least two (2) professional references from within the 24-county TDWDA must be provided
• SMPDD/TDWDA will compare the mark up percentages submitted by the vendors
Area of Service: Services will be provided to eligible residents of the following counties: Clarke, Covington, Forrest, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lamar, Lauderdale, Leake, Marion, Neshoba, Newton, Perry, Pearl River, Scott, Smith, Stone, and Wayne.
SMPDD may accept or reject submittals based on the current staffing and training needs in the TDWDA. SMPDD may select one (1) or more vendors within the service area.
