Funeral services for Shelia Stuart, 69, of Waynesboro, were conducted on

Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with

Dr. Steven Bruns officiating.

Interment followed at Mulberry Cemetery in Richton.

Born in Waynesboro on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1953 to the late Dan and Alice

Parnell, she was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church.

She was retired from the Wayne County School District after teaching for

more than 32 years in various positions.

She died on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital in

Hattiesburg.

She is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Rhett

Stuart of Hattiesburg and Matthew Tyler and Lakine Stuart; her daughter,

MacKenzie Elise Stuart of Waynesboro; her sister and brother-in-law,

Frances and Ronnie James of Waynesboro; two brothers and a

sister-in-law, Grady and Kim Parnell and Terry Parnell, all of

Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Lily Claire Stuart, Ella Mae Stuart and

Jack Riley Stuart; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Stuart; her

parents, Dan and Alice Parnell; three sisters, Peggy Mozingo, Janice

Pippen and Doris Bunch; and a brother, Gary Parnell.

MARY GWENDOLYN PITTS

Graveside services for Mary Gwendolyn Pitts, 93, of Laurel, were

conducted on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022 from West Shady Grove Cemetery,

with Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating.

Born in Wayne County on Sunday, April 21, 1929 to Albert Cleveland West

and Mary Ellen West, she was a member of Waynesboro First Baptist

Church. She was a Homemaker.

She died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 at Guardian Angels Hospice Center in

Laurel.

She is survived by he sister, Pat Hewitt of Mobile, Ala.; and several

nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Pitts; two brothers,

Jimmy West and Cleo West; and four sisters, Voncile Rigby, Josephine

Strickland, Maurice Fleming and Inez Nelson.

GERALD EDWIN WALLEY

Jan. 23, 1943-Nov. 20, 2022

Funeral services for Gerald Edwin Walley, 79, of Waynesboro, were

conducted on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 from Trinity First Baptist Church,

with Dr. Richard Bradley and Jerry Freeman officiating.

Interment followed at Trinity First Baptist Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Born in Waynesboro on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1943 to Aden Walley and Colea

Walley, he was a member of Trinity First Baptist Church. He was a

Veteran and served in the United States Army. He retired as a Stager

with Masonite Corporation.

He died on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Betty C. Walley of Waynesboro; his son, Paul

Walley of Waynesboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Kervin

Holifield of Waynesboro; his sister, Marion Brown of Waynesboro; five

grandchildren and their respective spouses, Daltan Walley, Kenzie

Walley, Jadin Henderson, Hannah and Shawn Lord and Haley and Will

Williams; and three great-grandchildren, Lexie Lord, Maddie Lord and

Izzie Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aden Walley; his mother, Colea

Walley; and two brothers, Glennis Walley and Kenneth Walley.

Nov. 16, 1946-Nov. 21, 2022

Funeral services for Roy Repsher, 76, of Waynesboro, were connected on

Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022 from Coyt Baptist Church, with Rev. Dewayne

Crane and Rev. Ty Wells officiating.

Interment followed at Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County.

Born in Quitman on Saturday, Nov. 16, 1946 to Joe B. Repsher, Jr., and

Tommie Dewitt "Dot" Tuttle Repsher, he was a member of Coyt Baptist

Church. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of

the Vietnam Era. He was Self-Employed in various industries such as

Trucking, Pallet Mill and Step Manufacturing.

He died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Repsher of Coyt; his

son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Elizabeth Repsher of Owensboro,

Ken.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Trigg of Waynesboro and

Diane and Ray Hudson of Clara; seven grandchildren and their respective

spouses, Shayna and Channing Cooley, Matthew Trigg, Keith Hudson, Macee

Hudson, Carolina Repsher, Natalie Repsher and Terry and Jacob Fontenot;

and five great-grandchildren, Maylen Cooley, Maddox Cooley, Talon

Cooley, Kilynn Fontenot and Makenzie Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Repsher, Jr.; his mother,

Tommie Dewitt "Dot" Tuttle Repsher; a granddaughter, Kortney Hudson; his

brother, Glenn Repsher; his paternal grandparents, Joseph Baker Repsher,

Sr. and Mary Vinnie Sternes Repsher; and his maternal grandparents,

Thomas F. Tuttle and Cammie Lee Farrar Tuttle.

DONALD RAY "FREIGHT TRAIN" PATTON

Oct. 20, 1955-Nov. 16, 2022

Graveside services for Donald Ray "Freight Train" Patton, 67, of

Waynesboro were conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022 from Serenity

Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Curtis Blakley officiating.

Bonr on Oct. 20, 1955 in State Line to the late Lonelle and Lucille

Chambers Patton, he was a hard-working, humble and friendly man who

loved sports. He graduated from Waynesboro Central High School and

received a two-year scholarship from Jones County Junior College. He

later entered the work force.

He died on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 in Lucedale.

He is survived by three sons and their respective spouses, Maurice and

Jamie Ruffin, Donald Earl Ruffin and Chase D. Patton; four

grandchildren, Tyeshia Ruffin, Landon Ruffin, Ariah Ruffin and Alaris

Ruffin; four sisters and their respective spouses, Ethel Loretta Bivens,

Earnestine and O.V. May, Mary and Frederick Jones and Urma and the late

Lester Johnson; a brother and his spouse, Michael L. and Lela Patton;

and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, a brother and a

sister.
